Funding Support to Help Get You to the Summit
Trans Canada Trail has launched a new fund that can help members of non-profit organizations and individuals attend the 2026 Canadian Trail Summit.
The Organization Capacity Building & Professional Development Fund helps volunteer groups and non-profit organizations pursue opportunities that enhance the skills, knowledge, and leadership capabilities of staff, volunteers and board members. This includes professional development funding to help cover costs associated with attending the Canadian Trail Summit.
How to Apply + Deadline:
- Apply online (make sure to select “Professional Development”)
- Deadline for this round of funding: February 28, 2026
Things to know before you apply:

No membership required – This fund is open to non-profit groups or trail organizations either on or off the Trans Canada Trail.
Individuals can apply – Applicants aren’t required to officially be part of a trail organization to apply. Individuals looking to attend the Summit can apply for funding as long as they are not affiliated with a for-profit trail organization.
