Northgate Trails
Northgate Trails, near Dauphin, is a rare Manitoba experience — where surprising elevation delivers flowing, hill-rich routes, quiet forest corridors and expansive prairie vistas you won’t find anywhere else in the province. This network is a 26 km system of stacked loop, multi-use trail with a welcoming trailhead and gathering space and incredible viewpoints to take in the scenery of Riding Mountain National Park’s beautiful North Escarpment.

Forested hills and sweeping slopes climb hundreds of meters, offering breathtaking panoramic views and exceptional trail networks in every direction. The newest connector to the Trans Canada Trail in Manitoba is onishkatoon gwaykaadiziwin, the “Connect the Shores” trail located in Whiteshell Provincial Park. This is an advanced 16 km one way backcountry trek around the east end of Falcon Lake beginning at Falcon Ridge Ski Slopes through to the Trans Canada Trail near Toniata. This trail features significant climbs and descents throughout with few exit points along the way.
