Know History Joins Canadian Trail Summit as Supporting Sponsor
WINNIPEG — Trans Canada Trail is thrilled to announce Know History, the largest historical research firm in North America, as the Supporting Sponsor of the 2026 Canadian Trail Summit.
Know History’s support is playing a crucial role in bringing the first-ever national gathering for Canada’s trail sector into reality. Hosted by Trans Canada Trail, the Canadian Trail Summit will bring leaders and learners from across the country to Winnipeg this June to connect, share ideas and explore practical solutions that will shape the future of Canada’s trails.

The organization’s work spans everything from archival research and oral history to community engagement and training, as well as public-facing storytelling through interpretive and digital experiences designed to make complex histories accessible and meaningful.

Taking place in Winnipeg from June 16 to 19, 2026, the Canadian Trail Summit will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions, workshops and opportunities to experience Manitoba’s trails and outdoor spaces. Under the theme “Trails for a Changing World,” the Summit will explore a wide range of topics shaping the future of trails in Canada, from adapting infrastructure and building for climate resilience to advancing inclusion, supporting healthy living and strengthening community ties.
Registration for the 2026 Canadian Trail Summit is currently open, with Advanced Rates available until March 15, 2026.
