The Delta is the official host hotel and the central hub of the Canadian Trail Summit. Staying here means you’ll be right where everything happens — keynotes, panels, breakout sessions and networking events all take place onsite. Transportation for field experiences will also depart directly from the Delta, ensuring maximum convenience. 

Conference delegates can access special group rates, available not only during the Summit but also for three days before and after, should you wish to extend your stay and explore Winnipeg. Book by May 15, 2026 to secure the conference rate.

Travel

Winnipeg is a centrally located and well-connected city, making it accessible for delegates from across Canada and beyond. We encourage all participants to plan their journey early to take advantage of the most convenient and sustainable travel options available. 

By air

Winnipeg Richardson International Airport (YWG) offers direct flights to and from major Canadian airports, as well as select U.S. and international destinations. The airport is accessible by public transit and is just a 15-minute drive from the Summit venue.  

By rail

VIA Rail provides service to Winnipeg. Union Station is located downtown, just minutes from the Delta Hotels Winnipeg, making rail a convenient and lower-carbon option for many delegates.

Local transportation​

Once in Winnipeg, delegates can take advantage of several easy ways to get around. Tourism Winnipeg provides a detailed overview of available services. 

  • Public transit: Winnipeg Transit provides frequent service throughout the city, including routes connecting the airport to downtown. 
  • Taxis and ride-hailing: A number of taxi and ride hailing services are available in Winnipeg and at the airport. 
  • Cycling: Winnipeg features a growing cycling network; bike rentals are available for those who wish to explore the city on two wheels. 
  • Walking: Winnipeg’s downtown core is compact and walkable, making it easy to get from your hotel to restaurants, attractions and the Summit venue.
